Mustard Seed

This devotional was written by Chloee Jean.

“He replied, “Because you have so little
faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a
mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move
from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be
impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Faith isn’t something that we naturally get once we
accept Christ into our lives. It’s something that we
grow and grow on a daily basis. Faith is like believing
but it’s so much more intimate than believing. It’s
saying that it is done, not it will be done. It’s saying He
is good not He will be good.

When we pray, we should pray with faith. Meaning,
when we say it, we say it as in it’s already done not
that it’s going to be done in the near future.

For we live by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). You
believe in God because you have faith in Him not
because you saw Him and what He’s done.

Faith is so much more than just five little letters. It’s a
lifestyle. It’s a declaration.

Our faith starts small and we are responsible to grow that small seed.

Matthew 17:20… Mustard seed faith is the start of
growing faith. If all you have is the seed and doing
nothing, how are you growing? To grow that seed o
faith we need to water it and put it in sunlight.

In order to continue to grow our relationship with God,
we need to grow our faith in Him.

Today, be. a mustard seed and have mustard seed
faith.
